Paris in my story – Au P’tit Grec

No, I am not going to say that I love Paris. Well, at least not for now. I might change my opinion in the future, who knows. But now, I guess the way I felt about Paris is almost the same feeling when I talk about Jakarta. I can talk about lots of good place to go in Jakarta that I like, but it might not include in my list when someone asked me ‘what’s your favorite city?’ – those kind of feeling, you know what I mean, right?

Anyway, though I won’t say that Paris is my favorite destination, but I have some of good place or things to do which I like during my three days adventures in Paris. So, here we go, Paris in my eyes series : let’s start from Au P’tit Grec! The word crepe actually a French word means pancake.  Jadi udah pas banget, if you go to Paris and  looking for the best crepes, this is the #placetogo, salah satu tempat yang #musttry banget.

Awalnya sempet nyasar pas mau nyari lokasi Au Ptit Grec ini, maklum lieur baca google map yang cuman mengandalkan GPS, hahahah. Kita datang lumayan pagi, sekitar jam 11 kurang, belum jam makan siang. Tapi ternyata udah ada beberapa orang yang ngantri depan toko-nya. Padahal Au P’tit Grec ini terletak di area yang penuh dengan café dan restaurant tapi yang keliatan rame sepertinya hanya tempat ini. Udahlah kita ikutan ngantri, dan pas giliran kita pesen, the guy who serving us is very nice! Dia lihat salah satu temen gw pakai jilbab, dan dia langsung recommend halal menu. Yes, mereka punya halal crepes for the savoury crepes, ada turkey dan chicken. Gw pesen turkey with cheese, while dua temen gw pesen yang sweet crepes. Yang sweet crepes lebih murah sih, like 3-4 euro while yang savoury crepes kayak yang gw pesen sekitar 5-6 euro. Dan begitu lihat ukuran crepesnya, harganya so damn-worth-it! Bisa buat makan berdua saking gedenya (the day before ke Au P’tit Grec, gw sempet jajan crepes not so far from Champ-Elysees saking capek jalan, dan crepesnya kecil udah gitu harganya bisa sampai 5 euro, hiks).

Pas waiternya bikin crepes, dia sambil cerita. He comes from one of the country in middle east (lupa lah gw tepatnya dari mana), udah berpuluh-puluh tahun stay di Paris. Udah betah banget di Paris. Pas gw bilang dari Indonesia, dia excited banget. He knows that Indonesia is one of the biggest moslem country. Trus dia bilang, klo dia gak bakalan betah tinggal di Indonesia, karena panas, hahahahha. Jadi rupanya dia pernah ke Malaysia for vacation, dan dia bilang suhu tropis ga cocok buat dia, mendingan di Paris aja. Good sidenya ketemu orang-orang kayak gini itu jadi banyak denger cerita dan suka dapat rejeki nomplok. He gave me extra cheese for my crepes ^^

Ga enaknya tempat ini cuman satu : the place is small. Tempat duduk yang mereka sediakan inside their outlet is very limited. Jadi gak bisa buat tempat nongkrong, hehehe. Karena yang antri banyak banget dan kita harus gantian sama mereka. Another option sih, just order the crepes for take away and eat it in the park near by. Overall, Au P’tit Grec ini definitely worth a visit karena memenuhi tiga keyword favorit gw : enak, murah dan kenyang! Hahahah 😋😋😋
